Group therapy is a highly effective modality to learn about yourself on an interpersonal level. Therapy groups are considered a microcosm of the way on e interacts in the world. Within the safe environment of the group, the support and understanding provided offers an opportunity to learn about yourself, to explore how you react to others and the impact you have on people. It can provide an opportunity to change behaviors as you experiment with and resolve interpersonal interactions with group members. The gains made within the group are extended to the relationships outside group. When individual therapy is combined with group therapy, progress is enhanced and expedited.
